Student Appeals

Policy and procedure for appealing academic decisions at Calwest University.

Notification of Termination

A student will be notified upon termination from a program, along with the causes for that termination. The notification will be provided in writing.

Appeals Process

A student who wishes to appeal a termination decision must submit a written appeal. The appeal will be heard by the Admissions Committee, which may require the student to fulfill special conditions as part of any reinstatement.

If no appeal is lodged, or if the appeal is denied, the student will be formally dismissed from the program.

Readmission

A student who has been dismissed may apply for readmission after a period of one year by writing to the Provost. Readmission is not automatic and is subject to the Provost's discretion.
