Credit for Prior Learning & Credit Transfers
Policy on transferring credits from other institutions and recognition of prior learning.
Eligible Institutions
Credits may be transferred from any USA accredited university or from international universities recognised as equivalent. Transfer credit requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Maximum Credit Transfer
- Graduate studies (MBA): Maximum of 8 courses credit may be transferred.
- Doctoral studies (DBA): Maximum of 33 graduate semester credits for coursework units only.
Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) & Challenge Assessments
RPL credits and challenge examinations are available for students who can demonstrate equivalent competency. RPL credits are identified on transcripts.
No credit is granted for prior experiential learning alone. No Ability-to-Benefit students are admitted.
Fees
- Credit recognition assessment: US$200 per course.
- Challenge assessments: US$800 per course.
Notice Concerning Transferability
Calwest University has not entered into any articulation or transfer agreement with any other college or university. Transferability of credits earned at Calwest University is at the complete discretion of the receiving institution. If the credits or degree that you earn at Calwest University are not accepted at the institution to which you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or all of your coursework at that institution.
