The Examination Board oversees all assessment standards and academic decisions at Calwest University.

Responsibilities

The Examination Board is responsible for the following:

  • Setting and maintaining the rules for tests and examinations across all programs.
  • Appointing examiners for coursework assessments.
  • Appointing thesis examiners (both Internal and External) for DBA research degrees.
  • Setting and reviewing the admission policy for the University.
  • Recognising credits for Recognised Prior Learning (RPL).
  • Setting and administering challenge assessments.
  • Setting assessment deadlines and approving extensions.
  • Determining and publishing overall results.
  • Hearing and deciding on student appeals relating to academic matters.
  • Considering and granting fee waivers for students experiencing exceptional financial hardship.
